Blue monday blues

Apparently it’s Blue Monday.  I don’t know what that means but I’m feeling a bit down so I thought I’d go back through my training videos just to make myself feel better about how far these people I live with have come.

This is one of my favourite training videos.  It’s like an introduction to teaching ball throwing or goalie training.  The key is repetition.

I know it can get a bit boring doing it over and over and over and over and over again, but it was worth it once the people I live with finally got it and we could move onto them throwing my ball.

Next up on the training docket?  Hockey!  With a ball, not a puck.  I’ve seen what happens to people when they catch pucks with their teeth.  What were they thinking?

Happy Monday everyone!

December 3, 2015 minus July 3, 2014 equals Fourhundredandeleventy days without anyone working on my blog.   Ugh.

I’ve gotten so much older that you guys probably don’t even recognize me.

The last time you saw me I was 3 and now I’m almost 5.  Five! I feel so old. You know what?  I’m still not retired. I was sure that by the time I was 5 I would be all done training these people I live with and that I wouldn’t have to always guard against probable intruders and bears but no.  Not even close.

So that’s what’s been going on in my life for the last fourhundredandeleventy days.  What’s new with you guys?

Lessons learned, finally

Had quite an interesting training session the other day.  I was tirelessly training these people I live with to throw my ball when out of nowhere came this little guy and his entourage.  I think he had been watching my lessons for a while because when he came over he was able to learn to throw my ball in just a few minutes.  I could hardly believe it.

Here I am explaining what I need him to do.

And then?  Like magic…

Hah!  I know!  I’m as shocked as you are.

And afterwards we all did a happy dance.

The best part though?  The paparazzi had been following him (you can tell who they are because they have cameras.  With lenses.) and recorded the whole thing.  Thank goodness because I’m not sure even I would have believed it.  And the whole thing was published here.

This?  This is my real happy face.

I have been vindicated.  I am a good trainer after all.  Maybe there’s hope for these people I live with.  One can always dream.
